Welcome to the Broadland Futures Initiative Virtual Exhibition.
The Broadland Futures Initiative (BFI) is a partnership for future flood risk management in the Broadland area.
This exhibition is an opportunity for us to share information with you. We also want to hear your views and opinions on flood risk and climate change in the Broadland area.
In normal circumstances we would be standing side by side with you at a public event. However, in order to follow government guidance we now need to adopt a digital approach for the time being, to allow us to stay connected to you.
We recognise recent flood events have been difficult for many and our sympathies are with those affected. Whilst the BFI is fundamentally a long term strategy, it is through these difficult events that we are reminded of the challenges we all face through climate change and the high risk of flooding locally.
Inside this exhibition you will find:
• An Overview of the BFI - Public Consultation: Why we are consulting and how you can be involved.
• A dedicated range of summary posters including:
• Origins of the Plan Area
• The Sources and Nature of Flood Risk within the Plan Area
•Coastal Processes within the Plan Area
•Current Approaches to Risk Management within the Plan Area
•The Influence of Flood Risk Management within the Plan Area
•The Future impacts of Climate Change
• An Introduction to Dredging Video
• An Introduction to Flood Modelling video
• StoryMap flyer
•The Future impacts of Climate Change
•The Influence of Flood Risk Management within the Plan Area
• A Virtual Exhibition Feedback Form
• A Frequently Asked Questions page

In addition to all of this, and in ensuring we allow you as many ways as possible to have your say, you can also join in by:
• Attending one of our series of live interactive Virtual Village Hall evenings (registration link available on our BFI webpage).
• Respond to us via phone – book your slot with a member of the project team (registration link available on our BFI webpage).
• Request a postal copy of the survey questionnaire.
